Yes, you should try. It's pretty neat to work with. Different woods burn differently though.

what tools do you use to create in this medium? apart from wood ofcourse. this is amazing.


my tool is the mouse, and brush, eraser, blur tool and free transform in Photoshop. sometimes, traditionally, pencil and paper as well. I like doing it this way because it's simple and enjoyable to do... this is what art is all about. you, liking your work and having fun with it. no matter how good or bad it is.

For the more detailed parts I put it on a lower temperature and go a lot slower and/or use the smaller tip.
I also use a pencil and eraser. And sandpaper to make the wood a little smoother. And a saw to cut the wood. For this piece at least. For my other wood burnings I just get the wood from an art store, but I still have to sand it.
